allows quick determination of the basic design of the part.
The following code helps explain
the meaning of the part number:

* When reading Index/ Polarization
Options the letter's A,B,C, etc. indicates specific polarizations,
and the letter Z indicates Chart/ Taxi Drawing.

EWCAP standard pins & blades have the
following recommended maximum current carrying capacity.
Maximum current load may be more or less depending on the
specific application and materials used. Use the methods
described in SAE/USCAR-2 Specification For Automotive Electrical
Connection Systems to determine the specific current carrying
capability of the terminal and connection system. See EWCAP 001 drawing
for specific Pin & Blade Dimensions and Geometry.

The Current Capacity recommendations shown in the table above are based on terminals used with the following wire sizes: 0.64mm - .75 (18 gage), 1.2mm - 1.0 (16 gage), 1.5mm - 1.0 (16 gage), 2.8mm - 3.0 (12 gage). These are design recomendations only and are not intended to specify wire sizes for specific applications.
